Diet plan in fever

EARLY MORNING –

  • Green tea / light milk tea with biscuits (marie or Monaco light and easy to digest biscuits)
  • Or Apple and banana Or Giloy juice extract.

BREAKFAST –

  • Daliya / oats / sprouts
  • Toast and light milk tea
  • Steamed idli
  • Veg. Sandwich with paneer with Fresh fruit juice / light milk tea

MID-MORNING –

  • Coconut water / veg. soup / any seasonal fruit or fresh fruit juices (home made)

LUNCH –

  • Roti / boiled rice
  • Moong dal (thin consistency) or moong malka dal or moong dal soup
  • Paneer bhujiya
  • Any seasonal vegetable like parwal, tori, lauki / roasted potatoes.

EVENING SNACKS –

  • Herbal tea / clear soup
  • Chane, puffed rice flakes (murmure)/ toast / Marie or Monaco light and easy to digest biscuits)
  • Any seasonal fruit like papaya, pear (नाशपाती)

DINNER –

  • Khichdi/ daliya
  • veg. soup with roti
  • roti with bhune aloo/ parwal ki sabzi / bottle guard (लौकी की सब्जी) / torai ki sabzi
  • boiled vegetables (such as beans, carrot, potato, raw papaya, parwal, little paneer)

IMPORTANT POINTS –

  • Good quality of protein intake.
  • Drink more water (preferably boiled).
  • Eat only peeled fruits and vegetables.
  • Avoid food rich in fiber and fat which irritate stomach lining.
  • In fever digestion power is reduced so avoid butter, ghee, oil, spices and fried food.
  • Honey is more preferable to sugar.
  • Fruits rich in vitamin C strengthen our immune system.
  • Apple, banana, pear, papaya, orange, kiwi, pineapple are rich in vitamin C and also contain antioxidants that reduce fever.
  • Always keep yourself hydrated.
  • Coconut water is a phenomenal hydrator.

 

DENGUE FEVER SPECIFICATION / IMPORTANT TIPS –

  • Papaya leaves intake. Extract the juice or boil the papaya leaves in water and drink it. Giloy bark is cleaned, crushed and boiled in water. Strain and drink this water.
  • Broccoli is the excellent source of Vitamin K. It helps to regenerate blood platelets.
  • Pomegranate is rich source of iron and beneficial for blood.
  • Spinach is rich source of iron and omega 3 fatty acids. It improves the immune system.
  • Kiwi fruit is rich in potassium and vitamin C which helps in increasing platelet count. Guava and papaya are very beneficial.
  • Mix of herbs like tulsi, ginger, giloy, aloe vera, amla intake are good antioxidants and rich in vitamin C. It boosts the immune system.
  • Electrolytes and vital nutrients present in coconut water replenish the body with minerals.
  • Orange is a rich source of vitamin C. Intake of vitamin c helps in production of WBC (white blood cells).
  • Fresh juice of orange or apple or anaar and mausami, lime juice are excellent.
  • Vegetable soup must be given in fevers.
  • Goat’s milk contains selenium and increases platelet count.
  • Lemon juice help to remove toxins from body through urine.
  • Do not overcook vegetables.
  • Avoid oily and spicy food items.
  • More fluid intake is necessary.
  • Consume warm water.
  • Consume food items that are easy to cook and easy to digest.

 

TYPHOID FEVER SPECIFICATION / IMPORTANT TIPS –

  • Take semi solid diet which is easily digestable.
  • Eat high calorie food like boiled potatoes, banana, boiled rice, bread. All these food items provide strength and energy.
  • Donot give wheat roti in typhoid fever.
  • Consume fluids and fruits which are high in water content. It helps in preventing dehydration.
  • Anaar, mausami juice is great.
  • Food items which are rich in carbohydrate like semi solid porridge (daliya), khichadi, baked potatoes.
  • Dairy products such as milk, light milk tea, whey water(पनीर का पानी), legumes (phaliya) and lentil (dal) soup should be consumed. Ensure adequate amount of protein present in the diet.
  • Avoid high fiber rich food items.
  • Avoid Oily / fried foods and butter.
  • Avoid spices, canned fruits and vegetables as it causes inflammation in the intestine.
  • Raw vegetables (such as cabbage, capsicum) should be avoided as it can cause bloating of stomach.

 

CORONA या अन्य किसी बुखार से संक्रमित लोगों के लिए DIET PLAN –

  1. खिचड़ी
  2. दलिया
  3. मूंग दाल और रोटी
  4. तोरई
  5. लौकी
  6. मूंग दाल सूप
  7. लाल मलका मसूर + धुली मूंग की दाल
  8. सूखे भुने हुए आलू सब्जी
  9. परवल आलू
  10. रसे के परवल आलू
  11. चने मुरमुरे

भूख लगने पर अगर कुछ न हो तो Marie biscuit, Glucose biscuit, Patanjali का कोई हल्का बिस्कुट।

या फिर सिकी हुई ब्रेड (Bread) ले सकते हैं।

RECIPES –

खिचड़ी बनाने की विधि

  • चावल – 3/4 कटोरी
  • धुली मूंग – 1/3 कटोरी
  • लौकी , कच्चा पपीता, परवल  घिस कर डाल लें।
  • हींग, जीरा, हल्दी का छौंक लगा कर 1 सीटी आने के बाद 20 से 25 min मंदे पर रखें।

दलिया बनाने की विधि

  • दलिया – 3/4 कटोरी दलिया
  • मूंग दाल – 1/4 कटोरी 
  • लौकी, पपीता या परवल घिस कर,
  • 6 गुना पानी डाल कर,
  • 1 तेज़ की सीटी के बाद 20 min मंदे पर पका लें।

मूँग दाल सूप

  • छिलका मूँग दाल – 1/2 कटोरी
  • 1 and 1/2 गिलास पानी
  • हल्दी, नमक, अदरक घिस कर
  • सीटी दें।
  • छान कर उसमें हींग जीरे का छौंक लगाये।
  • पानी डाल कर जितना पतला करना हो कर लें।

दूध वाली चाय

दूध खाली न पिये।

  • थोड़े से पानी में 1/4 चाय पत्ती डाल कर उबाल लें, उसमें दूध डाल कर, गरम गरम पी लें।
  • साथ मे toasted ब्रेड ले सकते हैं।
