ORIGIN OF AYURVEDA

India is such a blessed land, that its ancient science of medicine transitioned from the Divine itself. Indian Holistic Approach to Medicine can be considered to be one of the oldest medicine systems worldwide.

It is believed that the Divine revelation of the wisdom of healing and health was gained through meditation, Dhyana, and the willingness of welfare of all. “Lord Brahma, the God of creation, remembered Ayurveda, and imparted it to deserving seekers.”

This ancient medicine dates back to the time when the land was pious, the hearts of people of Earth were as clear as crystal. It is believed that Earth used to be disease-free, until Daksh Prajapati cultivated ill feelings against his son-in-law, Lord Shiva.

The first disease to harm the mankind was Jwara (can be correlated with Fever). The beings of Earth were sweltering due to this new discomfort to the physical body. It was then the Rishis went to seek the knowledge of healing.

This incident tells us that we all should be clear hearted in order to live a disease-free and healthy life. When we are free from ill feelings- like- jealousy, greed, anger, ego etc, and feel oneness with the beings, we enhance the sattva guna in the body, which is directly responsible for balancing our physical health. Scientifically, researches are being made on the relation between emotional state and health, psychological effects on health, which our Acharyas have explained in detail.

Everything stated in these ancient books can be proven scientifically in today’s era. The skill of Rishi’s of those times were so developed, that even without the resources, they knew the basics of human body; the structure, and working, all that was going inside the body.

We feel blessed to be born in nation where the life is the gift of God himself.
